S&P, 2023년 한국경제 1.4% 성장 전망 KBS WORLD

글로벌 신용평가사 스탠더드앤드푸어스(Standard & Poor’s)는 20일 내년 한국 경제가 1.4% 성장할 것으로 내다봤다.

루이스 코기스 S&P 글로벌 레이팅스 아시아태평양 수석 이코노미스트는 온라인 브리핑에서 한국과 대만 등 수출의존 경제가 글로벌 경기 둔화 속에 급격한 성장 둔화를 보일 가능성이 높다고 전망했다.

그는 한국 경제가 지난 수십 년 동안 계속해서 성장해 왔으며 예상대로 성장 둔화 국면에 접어들었다면서 아시아에서 네 번째로 큰 경제 규모가 향후 10년 동안 크게 둔화될 것이라고 덧붙였습니다.

물가 억제를 위한 한국의 통화정책에 대해 고기스는 금리가 더 오를 것으로 예상했지만 3.5%를 넘을 가능성은 낮다. 한국은행은 지난달 기준금리를 3.25%로 25bp 인상했다.

이 과정에서 한국의 자본유출이 적자나 경상수지 피해로 이어질 것이라고 내다봤다.
